*THIS IS NOT A LIVE-FIRE CLASS. DO NOT BRING LIVE AMMUNITION FOR RANGE USE. YOU MAY BRING HOLLOW-POINTS FOR YOUR CCW, BUT WE WILL HAVE ALL STUDENTS UNLOAD BEFORE THE START OF CLASS.

Simulated Self-defense Scenarios

In Simulated Self-Defense Scenarios, students will learn self-defense skills that can’t be evaluated or taught at the shooting range. You’ll be put in safe and controlled environments that mimic real-life dangerous situations that civilians may encounter in their day-to-day activities. Actors will be playing the roles of bad guys or normal civilians, and participants will be issued simulator pistols to test your situational awareness and decision-making abilities under stress. Will you be able to avoid or deescalate the dangerous encounter? Or will you have to "fire" your weapon? The training cadre will assess your performance, give points of improvement, and let you know the likely outcome of the aftermath in the real world: Would it be considered a justified shoot, or would you be vulnerable to legal trouble?
